DIY Camper Tour: Our Homemade 5×10 Camper at Little Pee Dee State Park
After documenting the construction of our homemade square-drop camper, it’s time to see how the project looks out in the real world. In this DIY camper tour, we take you to Little Pee Dee State Park in South Carolina to see our homemade 5×10 camper while it was approximately 90% complete. Our DIY camper build tour shows the inside and outside of our homemade camper during its first camping trip at Little Pee Dee State Park.
This video offers a look at our camper outside the workshop, during an actual camping trip. Although a few finishing touches were still ahead of us, this was an exciting milestone in our DIY camper build.

DIY Camper Build Tour: Inside and Outside Our Homemade Camper
Our camper is a homemade square-drop design built on a Harbor Freight 5×10 Modular Trailer. We have been documenting the project from the trailer and floor construction through wall framing, insulation, exterior finishing, electrical work, and the rear kitchen hatch.
This tour captures the camper at roughly 90% completion, making it a useful look at how the different stages of the build came together. Watch the video to see the camper’s layout and features as they appeared during this stage of the project.
Because the camper was not completely finished when we filmed this tour, some details may have changed as we continued working on it.
Our Camper at Little Pee Dee State Park
Taking the camper to Little Pee Dee State Park gave us an opportunity to see our project in a real camping setting rather than just at home during construction.
Little Pee Dee State Park is in Dillon County, South Carolina, and features a campground, nature trails, and Lake Norton. The park provides a peaceful outdoor setting for camping and exploring the natural surroundings.
Learn more about the park through the official South Carolina State Parks website.
